Your weekly roundup from Galactic Hosting. This week we shipped multiple V2.2 updates focused on mobile usability, file management, server creation, and quality-of-life improvements across the platform.

Improvements & fixes 🔧

V2.2

  • Expanded basic mobile support in text editors (still in testing; please report issues in Discord bug-reports)
  • Archive button now switches contextually to “Unarchive” when a .zip file is selected
  • Enabled direct file downloads
  • Improved reliability of status notifications
  • Various minor fixes and polish

V2.2.1 — Server creation

  • Added 2 additional server slots/choices
  • Fixed small bugs affecting server creation flow

V2.2.2 — Off‑topic announcements additions

  • New voice/chat servers node (USA location)
  • Added TeamSpeak 3
  • Added Lavalink
  • Server settings now allow adjusting per‑server resource allocations
  • Added the new voice/chat servers option to the server creation screen

Fixes

  • Fixed “Clear console” not persisting after refresh
  • Updated underlying packages/dependencies

Security & downtime report

Week 2 of Version 2 was largely stable. We observed several short upstream VPS incidents (approximately 3–4 events, each ~5–10 minutes). No security concerns to report monitoring remains green, and we continue to iterate on resiliency.

Community & support updates

We resolved ticket flow issues and opened moderator/staff applications (closing in ~2 weeks). Thanks for your patience as we continue reducing response times and improving support quality.

  • Address edge cases when 50+ concurrent users hit the client and trigger transient “error” states
  • Additional QoL improvements
  • Further mobile UX upgrades and potentially new features
